Chris Armfield is an artist, designer, and creative director whose work is rooted in a simple belief: beauty has the power to change how we feel, how we experience a place, and how we see what is possible. Beauty is everywhere, every day, I love helping people see and experience this.
His creative practice moves fluidly across fine art, branding, design, interiors, architecture, landscape, production and the thoughtful curation of spaces and experiences. While the medium changes, the instinct remains the same, to see what others may overlook, uncover what is possible, and bring elements together into something that feels both unexpected, inevitable, even sacred.
Chris approaches creativity as more than aesthetics. He is interested in the relationship between beauty and meaning—the way color can communicate emotion, a space can change behavior, an identity can shape perception, or a single unexpected detail can completely transform an experience.
More than any object, human beings are Chris's favorite beauty. Human stories, emotions, dreams, hopes, and smiles... There may be nothing more beautiful than an authentic smile, laughter and that moment when a human becomes incarnate light. If curating beauty can cultivate a conversation or curiosity and these moments become moments of connection where genuine happiness is felt and shared... then my existence is justified.

A Life Shaped by Creativity
For Chris, creativity has never belonged to a single discipline.
His fine art explores color, texture, composition, and emotion. His design work considers how people move through and experience environments which help them discover and live into their true humanity. His branding work distills the character of businesses, ideas, and people into identities that feel unmistakably their own.
Across each discipline, Chris is drawn to juxtaposition: refined and raw, historic and contemporary, restrained and expressive, familiar and unexpected. The goal is connection. Connection to self, others, space, or whatever is the most authentic present moment. I just want people to feel comofortable and connected with themselves. If that is holding a hand, crying with someone, creating an original piece of fine art, branding a company, or designing an interior, everything I do is about coming alive in the present moment. the present is all we really have. Beauty can captivate and capture us for just a moment that detaches yesterday and silences tomorrow and in that moment problems do not exist, trauma is not part of the body and something as powerful as love may emerge even for a split second. These moments are worth living into whole heartedly.
Rather than adhering to a prescribed style, he looks for the particular beauty already waiting within a person, place, object, or idea—and cultivates from there.

Curating Beauty
Perhaps the simplest description of Chris's work is curating beauty.
Not beauty as decoration, but beauty as an experience.
It may be found in a painting, a conversation, a quiet moment of human presence, a garden, a beautifully proportioned room, an unexpected material, a compelling brand, an old building given new life, or the precise combination of objects that suddenly makes a space feel complete.
Chris's work is ultimately about noticing these possibilities and bringing them into relationship with one another—creating work and environments that invite people to look again, feel something, and experience the ordinary differently. Helping people be present.
Art. Design. Identity. Environment. Experience.
Different expressions of the same pursuit: Unveil beauty and be present with one another.
